4 former TDCJ employees arrested, accused of theft

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice confirmed that four of their former employees were arrested for theft.

According to the TDCJ, Patrick Beacom, James Bodine, Ray Edge, and Devin Richards were arrested for allegedly stealing scrap metal from the agency and selling it.

The TDCJ released a statement saying that the arrests stemmed from an investigation completed by the Texas Board of Criminal Justice's Office of Inspector General.

ABC13 reached out to the clerk's office in Brazoria County for more information on the charges the four suspects are facing.

Information about where they allegedly stole from, how long they did it, and their exact roles was not immediately disclosed.
